Through its electric heating and cooling systems, Tsai Lacrosse Fieldhouse sets a new standard for sustainability, ushering in a fossil fuel-free future on Yale’s campus. The design goes beyond energy efficiency, incorporating features like bioswales to manage stormwater, a collaborative rain garden that enhances biodiversity, bird-safe glazing to protect local wildlife, and low-flow water fixtures to reduce consumption. Together, these strategies highlight a thoughtful, holistic approach to sustainable infrastructure.
