Cara Prosser

LEED AP BD+C, Fitwel Ambassador
Higher Education, Minneapolis

While growing up Cara went through cycles of prioritizing her joy for the arts and focusing on analytical subjects of math and science. From painting, mixed media, and decorative arts to being on the math team, Cara often was pulled in what she thought to be opposite directions by these two different interests. Since joining Perkins&Will Cara has been able to meld creativity and analytics into a data-driven approach that informs creative solutions throughout the design process. She focuses on applying an evidence-based practice to understand the needs of the user and integrates these findings to user-focused designs. Cara is interested in the way people interact with their everyday environments and the impact of building design on physical health, well-being, safety, and inclusivity. She thrives on the complexities of medical and health sciences education projects and looks to translate the unique needs of each client into innovative, user-driven learning environments that support the future of health education.
