Perkins&Will Enhances its National Health Education Team

The Minneapolis studio of Perkins&Will continues to grow its national health education team with the appointment of Joe Lilly as Health Education Planner

MINNEAPOLIS—Joe Lilly brings more than a decade of experience working for public and private universities, with notable expertise in simulation center design in higher education environments. His portfolio includes projects with a robust list of national clients including Marquette University, University of Wisconsin Madison, University of Missouri, University of Nebraska Lincoln, Oak Point University, Aurora University, Northwestern College, California State University, Dominguez Hills, and University of California, Davis.

“The speed at which education and healthcare technologies are evolving requires us to be nimble and informed design professionals in order to help our clients evolve into leaders amongst their peers and reimagine their future cultures,” said Lilly. “We have a real opportunity right now to make an impact by being part of the conversation of how to solve some of the existential crises facing the healthcare industry. Lilly joins an impressive list of Higher Education and Health Education leaders at Perkins&Will Minneapolis including Heidi Costello, Cara Prosser, Jeff Ziebarth and Jill Vowels. This team is known for deep expertise, exceptional collaboration and engagement, and their commitment to bringing innovation in Health Education both locally and nationally. Select recent projects that the Minneapolis Health Education team has completed are; the Health Sciences Education Center at the University of Minnesota, the Center for Medical Education at Louisiana State University, Shreveport, Aldevron Tower for Pharmacy, Nursing, and Public Health at North Dakota State University, and the Indianapolis Academic Health Center Medical Education and Research Facility for Indiana University Medical School, the largest medical school in the country.

Lilly earned his Bachelor of Science, Architectural Studies from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. He’s an associate member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Outside of work, Lilly is an avid backpacker and hiker and names Sequoia National Park as one of his favorite places to visit. Prior to discovering his love for architecture, Lilly studied music and still enjoys playing guitar.
