Tatiana Escobar

One of Tatiana’s most vivid childhood memories is running through Dulles International Airport before her annual summer trip to visit family in England.  Her fascination with the design of Dulles sparked an interest in architecture that grew during her formative years. By high school, Tatiana knew she wanted to pursue architecture as a career.

After college in New York City, Tatiana headed west where she earned a living as a construction worker in Portland, Oregon and gained practical insights to design that would shape her practice of architecture.  She went on to attend graduate school in Los Angeles and stayed on to work there for a number of years.  While working on a project to re-design county welfare facilities, Tatiana came to understand that even small changes can have a meaningful impact on the people who experience the spaces we design.  This is at the heart of her thoughtful approach to the planning and design of the projects she leads, and why she strives to always create a sense of place and community.

Not surprisingly, Tatiana’s vivid memory of running through the Dulles airport also sparked a passion for travel, and she has continued to explore places around the globe.  Her favorite place to travel is Africa, where she has spent time in Zambia, Namibia and South Africa.
