Congratulations to Amy Sickeler, winner of Healthcare Design magazine’s annual HCD 10 Award! Amy was recognized in the interior designer category for her outstanding contributions to the profession. The award honors her dedication to creating beautiful interior spaces that blend wellness, functionality, and performance.
“It is both challenging and rewarding to design projects for healthcare,” Amy says. “I’m fortunate to be able to help our clients support people on their journey toward healing.”
Over the course of her 36-year career, Amy has led interior design for several significant projects. These include the UC Gardner Neuroscience Institute, a treatment, research, and teaching center for neurological patients that emphasizes holistic well-being and hospitality.
Amy also led the interior design process for the Piedmont Pinewood Wellness Center at Pinewood Forest in Fayetteville, Georgia. This innovative facility supports physical and mental growth, while also promoting community wellness through team-based rehabilitation and ongoing care.
Amy’s passion for making a difference has also led to her involvement in a number of pro bono projects. For the Georgia Center for Child Advocacy, for example, which supports victims of child abuse, Amy ensured the design of a warm, welcoming environment that provides safety, security, and support for children and their families.
