“I have devoted my career to addressing social justice issues in the built environment,” says Gabrielle. “As an architect and RISD alum and trustee, I am committed to highlighting how art and design education can address social justice. Participating in the MLK Series was an opportunity to discuss real-life examples of architecture and art as actionable approaches to champion justice.” During the discussion, Gabrielle spoke extensively of our work with Destination Crenshaw to illustrate the power of art and architecture as tools to facilitate justice in a community.
