CHICAGO—Returning to the Chicago studio of Perkins&Will where he began his career, Todd Accardi is welcomed back to the firm as a Senior Medical Planner and Associate Principal to its growing regional Healthcare Practice. Accardi will work closely with Chicago Practice Leader Jennifer Riddle Curley and Regional Healthcare Practice Leader Scott Davidson in delivering projects focused on highly sustainable patient, caregiver, and family-centered design.
“What has always attracted me to Perkins&Will is our focus on creating great spaces for our clients and the people who use them, and our dedication to continuous learning and improvement,” said Accardi. “The complexity of our work, the variety of projects, and dedicated service to our clients have always inspired me.” Earlier in his career, Accardi spent 13 years in the Chicago studio, and over the years his projects include work for OhioHealth, Froedtert Hospital and the Medical College of Wisconsin, The University of Chicago Medicine, Rush University Medical Center, Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, and The Johns Hopkins Hospital.
“Our Chicago and Minneapolis studios have long been recognized on a local, regional, and national level for designing exceptional healthcare spaces,” said Davidson. “Todd and our expanding regional team underscore our determination to bring our clients the highest level of innovation, agility, and expertise to design projects that best serve their communities.”
“We are thrilled to welcome Todd back to the Chicago studio as part of our commitment to building the next generation of leaders who are anticipating ‘what’s next’ in healthcare and how we can best respond to our clients’ needs,” said Riddle Curley.
Accardi’s appointment follows the recent announcement that Kristine Sallee has joined as Minneapolis Healthcare Practice Leader and Senior Associate. Sallee has more than 25 years of architecture and design experience in the healthcare industry.
