We’re proud to announce that we’ve received a perfect score of 100% on the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation’s 2023-2024 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), the nation’s foremost benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality. This is our fifth consecutive year being recognized with this honor, putting us among the 545 major U.S. businesses that also earned top marks this year.

“Our 10-year focused journey toward justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion has been a Perkins&Will community effort,” says Gabrielle Bullock, our Director of Global Diversity. “Achieving a perfect score of 100 on the HRC’s Corporate Equity Index (CEI) for five consecutive years is a testament to our inclusive approach in creating an environment where everyone feels they belong.”

The CEI grades companies on the following criteria:

  • Non-discrimination policies across business entities
  • Equitable benefits for LGBTQ+ workers and their families
  • Supporting an inclusive culture
  • Corporate social responsibility

While it’s important to celebrate our CEI ranking, it’s just as important to recognize–and extend our gratitude to–our LGBTQ+ colleagues, whose many contributions to our practice and culture have been invaluable. Through their active participation on our Diversity Council, their leadership of our local LGBTQ+ affinity groups, and their close involvement in our cultural events and activities, we continue to foster an inclusive environment in which all colleagues and clients feel welcome, safe, and empowered.

“It has been so rewarding to earn a perfect score—for five years in a row!—from HRC on this important annual equality index. I am immensely proud of our firm, our authentic J.E.D.I. culture, and most important, our people who make Perkins&Will such an extraordinary place to work,” says Meg Brown, our Chief Talent Officer. “As I transition into my retirement and leave the firm in the very capable hands of a new generation of leaders, I am confident that Perkins&Will will continue to raise the bar on workplace equality and inclusion.”
