Renee Rodriguez
Renee knew she wanted to be an architect after spending nearly two years searching for the perfect home with her parents starting in the 4th grade. She relished heading into the sales office to collect all of the floor plan brochures. As her family would walk through the model homes, she would take note of the things her mom didn’t like about each floor plan. The living room was never adjacent to the dining room, and where was the front porch? This sparked an itch to draw the floor plan of the perfect house for her family. That itch to problem-solve through design continued through high school and eventually into college.
As a 20-year veteran of the firm, Renee leads business operations and project delivery, favoring purpose-driven projects in the areas of higher education, science and technology. She continues the client engagement that has been a hallmark of her Perkins&Will career, while injecting extensive firsthand experience in leading project teams throughout the design and construction processes. Similar to her thought process as a child wanting to create the perfect floor plan for her parents, when approaching design, she puts herself in the shoes of the end user to visualize how to improve a space.
