Bambu Atmosfera
Set on one of São Paulo’s breathtaking beaches, Bambu Atmosfera draws on natural materials to create a harmonious relationship between its residents and the surrounding landscape. Bamboo was the project’s main inspiration as it is a flexible material that can easily adapt to diverse applications and shapes. Being a natural and low-cost material that is easily sourced in Brazil, the use of bamboo helps reduce the building’s carbon footprint.
Bambu Atmosfera has a U-shaped footprint that allows for a generous and symbolic square composed of native plant species. The layout also provides every apartment with an ocean view.

Biophillic design concepts guided Bambu Atmosfera. To connect residents to the natural surroundings of Praia Grande Beach, we took inspiration from bamboo, the location’s native vegetation.
