Confidential Financial Media Client

Dublin, Ireland

Our confidential financial media client unites their two existing offices in Dublin under one roof to foster a connected, collaborative community, championing an innovative, people-centric, and planet-first approach.

Inspired by the creative and historic spirit of the city, this cutting-edge, vibrant, and inclusive environment seamlessly connects the Dublin office with the client’s global community.

Approximately 200 workstations are set within a sustainable environment that prioritises health and wellbeing. These spaces include active collaboration zones and meaningful connections to the culture, history, and people of Dublin and beyond.

A design rooted in place

Our client sought to forge meaningful connections with the city—its culture, history, and people—through a design concept envisioned as an ‘Urban Canvas.’ Our response wove local textures, patterns, and urban motifs into suspended ceilings, floor finishes, and spatial dividers to embed a distinct sense of place. The design celebrates Dublin’s layered history, creativity, and community spirit across three layers: respecting the historical creative influence in the area, fostering inclusion inspired by nearby landmarks, and integrating biophilic elements drawn from the city’s green squares.

Collaboration

Creating an exceptional workplace that met our client’s global standards—while celebrating the local context and maximizing value and efficiency—demanded a deeply collaborative process. From the outset, mock-ups played a pivotal role, allowing for iterative feedback, refinements, and rigorous quality checks to perfect every detail.

Prototypes of meeting tables, ceilings, wall finishes, and joinery elements provided full transparency on materials and finishes before implementation, ensuring consistency and excellence throughout. The resulting environment seamlessly reflects our client’s global portfolio, delivering a world-class, future-ready workplace.

Materiality and texture serve as storytelling elements throughout the space, with locally inspired finishes such as burgundy tones echoing Georgian brickwork, wave panels referencing the canal, and grid-patterned ceilings evoking Dublin’s city blocks.

Health, well-being, and biophilic design strategies were prioritised, ensuring that 75% of colleagues have planting within 10 metres of their desks.
Ceilings were designed to be fully demountable and removable using wire and bracket systems for future flexibility and access to building services. This approach supports long-term versatility and sustainability.
Innovation and adaptability

Innovation and adaptability were embedded into every layer of the project. All floor finishes are fully removable to allow easy access to the raised floor and services below. Carpet finishes were installed using MagTab and loose-laid rubber tiles supporting reusability and minimal waste.

A bespoke solution was developed for concealing riser doors in the reception areas. Wave acoustic panels, mounted on a demountable track system, were customised in collaboration with the manufacturer and tested on site through mockups. This ensured both aesthetic quality and practical performance, demonstrating how technical problem-solving was used to address spatial constraints.
