Global real estate and investment firm Heitman envisioned their next generation space as an opportunity to illuminate their brand, celebrate their culture, and reinforce the value of being together.
Their desire for an expansive spatial experience was achieved through a double-height entry, welcoming guests into a sun-filled environment with panoramic views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline.
The design emphasizes creating a breathtaking space through intentional views, expansive volumes, and sophisticated materials. By removing a section of the existing floor slab, we introduced a double-height space that magnificently showcases panoramic views of Chicago.
A feature staircase serves as the centerpiece of the entry experience. This elegant structural element not only frames the stunning vistas but also provides a dynamic display area for mobiles from Heitman’s art collection.
At the heart of Heitman’s space is their café and lounge, which serves as their social hub. A variety of seating types, connectivity for all day working, and places for group meetings support a flexible working strategy. A large multi-purpose meeting space with state of the art audio visual capability bookends the café.
