Philip O’Sullivan

OAA, MRAIC, LEED AP BD+C, Fitwel Ambassador
Associate Principal, Sports, Recreation and Entertainment, Toronto

Philip’s lifelong connection to sports, from swimming and wrestling to golf and squash, shaped his approach to teamwork and ultimately a clear design purpose: creating places where communities thrive.

Learning the value of discipline, endurance, and collaboration early on in life through sport continues to influence how Philip listens to clients and leads teams to move projects forward.

Specializing in sports, recreation, and collegiate athletics, Philip brings a unique blend of hands-on experience, strategic thinking, and personal passion to every stage of design and delivery. Philip’s approach to project management is grounded in decades of site experience and informed by a deep understanding of construction processes. He is known for translating vision into reality, keeping projects on track, on budget, and aligned with the aspirations of both clients and communities.

Beyond project work, Philip plays a national role in shaping the industry. He currently serves on the Canadian Construction Documents Committee, where he is one of only three architects in Canada who contribute to drafting standardized construction contracts used across the country.
