What It Means to Be a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality for Seven Years

Recognized again by the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index, our 2026 score reflects our continued commitment to deeper LGBTQ+ protections, inclusive culture, and public advocacy.

For the seventh year in a row, we’ve earned a perfect score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation’s 2026 Corporate Equality Index (CEI)—the gold standard for benchmarking LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion in the U.S.

This milestone matters because the bar keeps moving. Each year, the CEI raises expectations for large employers, and the 2026 index places greater emphasis on expanded LGBTQ+ protections, inclusive benefits, workplace culture, and social responsibility.

“Sustaining this recognition for seven consecutive years reflects intentional leadership,” says Gabrielle Bullock, our Chief Diversity Officer. “The CEI pushes organizations to think beyond policies on paper and toward real protections for LGBTQ+ people at work and in society. For us, that means translating values into action and creating environments grounded in dignity, safety, and opportunity for all.”

The CEI evaluates companies across four core areas:

  • Non-discrimination policies across all business entities
  • Equitable benefits for LGBTQ+ employees and their families
  • Support for an inclusive workplace culture
  • Demonstrated corporate social responsibility

Taken together, these criteria reinforce a central truth: inclusive workplaces don’t happen by accident. They are built through consistent action, shared accountability, and a willingness to evolve.

“What’s meaningful about this year’s index is its focus on responsibility—not just within the workplace, but beyond it,” says Amber Hamilton, our Chief Talent Officer. “Creating an environment where people feel supported and seen requires constant listening and adaptation. Inclusion isn’t a one-time achievement; it’s a long-term commitment to our people.”

That commitment is brought to life by LGBTQ+ employees across our global studios, whose leadership on diversity councils, participation in affinity groups, and engagement in local communities show how inclusive cultures lead to better design. Their perspectives strengthen collaboration, fuel innovation, and help ensure that authenticity and professional growth go hand in hand.

“Being recognized again speaks to the culture we work to sustain every day,” says Chris Morrison, Managing Principal of our Washington, D.C. studio. “Policies matter, but their impact depends on how consistently they are backed by action. The CEI and the HRC’s broader advocacy help keep equity embedded in how firms lead, operate, and show up.”

Seven consecutive years as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality is a moment worth acknowledging, but not a finish line. As standards rise and conversations evolve, we remain focused on learning, listening, and advancing equity within our workplace and across the industry.
