We’re a “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality” for the Sixth Year in a Row

Promoting an LGBTQIA+ friendly workplace, we’ve earned a 100 rating in the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s annual assessment of corporate diversity, equity, and inclusion.

We’re proud to announce that we’ve earned a perfect score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation’s 2025 Corporate Equality Index (CEI)—the nation’s foremost benchmark for corporate policies, practices, and benefits that champion LGBTQIA+ workplace equality. This marks our sixth consecutive year receiving this recognition, a testament to our commitment to building a supportive, inclusive, and purposeful work environment.

More than a score on paper, the CEI is a tool for transparency and leveling the field for all workers. It’s a reminder of our ongoing responsibility to uphold equity and ensure LGBTQIA+ employees and their families feel comfortable, empowered, and have equal opportunities to thrive.

“We’re honored to be recognized by the Human Rights Council for maintaining a workplace that welcomes and accepts everyone just as they are,” says Gabrielle Bullock, our Chief Diversity Officer. “Our culture of justice, equity, engagement, diversity, and inclusion infiltrates every aspect of our work. We’re grateful to HRC for recognizing our accomplishments for the sixth year in a row.”

The CEI grades companies on the following criteria:

  • Non-discrimination policies across business entities;
  • Equitable benefits for LGBTQIA+ workers and their families;
  • Supporting an inclusive culture; and,
  • Corporate social responsibility.

“Achieving a perfect score on the HRC’s equality index for six consecutive years is a testament to our team’s commitment to fostering a workplace where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued,” says Amber Hamilton, our Chief Talent Officer. “It’s a reflection of the heart and soul of our organization: our people. Together, we will continue to push boundaries to create an inclusive, equitable environment where innovation thrives, and everyone belongs.”

While our CEI ranking is worth celebrating, it’s equally important to recognize the contributions of our LGBTQIA+ colleagues, whose impact on our practice and culture is felt every day. Through their leadership on the diversity council, involvement in local LGBTQIA+ affinity groups, and participation in cultural events, they help shape the environment that allows everyone to thrive. Their work strengthens our ability to innovate, collaborate, and move the industry forward—fostering spaces for creative expression, where diverse identities and perspectives are not just respected but actively encouraged.

“As a principal and leader of the D.C. studio, and as a proud gay man, I’m thrilled to be a part of the ongoing work that Perkins&Will does to be One of the Best Places to Work,” says Chris Morrison, FAIA. “The HRC continues to not only advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, but to partner and assist firms like ours to weave equity into the fabric of our firm’s culture.”
