Cassie Branum

AICP, LEED AP
Principal, Urban Design Practice Leader, Urban Design, Atlanta

Cassie works to elevate the experience of people—from the places she designs, to the processes she leads, to the long-term visions she helps develop. She is drawn to the “knot” of city-building because the scale of the city creates the most intricate challenges of today and the greatest impact for future generations.

Working globally, she moves comfortably across cultures and between roles as a manager, strategist, designer, and planning consultant. Her strength lies in guiding the process. In any given project, she can spot where consensus is forming and build on that foundation.

As our firmwide urban design practice leader, Cassie prioritizes collaboration and partnership. Within our firm, she works closely with colleagues to advance human-centered urbanism. Within the community, she volunteers and guest lectures at the Georgia Institute of Technology. With every client, she works closely to balance experiment and innovation while making the critical decisions that keep progress in step with reality.
