Jennifer Williams

AIA, IIDA, LEED AP, Well AP
Associate Principal, Sports, Recreation and Entertainment, Boston

Jennifer brings her expertise and passion to projects that celebrate well-being at their core including athletics and recreation facilities, healthcare-focused buildings, and campus master plans alike. Her love of all things sports began early—growing up she concentrated most of her energy into athletics, eventually becoming a collegiate athlete with an academic focus on interior architecture.

As both a senior interior project designer and registered architect, Jennifer’s reach extends from programming to master planning and built work, always considering the details that transform vision into reality. Her work embodies the understanding that individual health and well-being are crucial components of athletic performance and achievement.

Transferring her genuine passion to projects of all scales, Jennifer relates to our clients and gains deep insights into their goals. The ultimate reward is the joy and satisfaction that a successfully completed renovation, new facility, or master plan can bring to an entire community. Jennifer is now at an exciting intersection being both a woman in sports and a woman in design at Perkins&Will, where she has found the platform to thrive while pursuing both lifelong passions.

At Northwestern, Jennifer worked closely with coaches, athletics administration, and the University to help craft an experience centered around student-athlete well-being. From recovery to high performance, a variety of support spaces are strategically located and designed to encourage student-athlete use and promote interactions with coaches and staff. Jennifer is motivated by the knowledge that a facility like Northwestern’s can help improve the student-athlete journey and can influence the ability of an institution to recruit top talent.

Phillips Academy Andover Snyder Center acts as an athletic facility, as well as a Student Center and hub for student activity.
The Snyder Center not only provides state-of-the-art venues for competitive sports like track and squash, but it also includes fitness studios and multi-purpose areas for recreation activities serving all members of the community – supporting the “Exercise for All” motto of the school athletics program.
“To achieve peak performance, individual health must be a priority. Well-being and great design are intertwined.”
