Joseph Dyer

AIA
Associate Principal, Sports, Recreation and Entertainment, Denver

From playing sports as a kid and into high school and college, athletics has always been a passion for Joe. Blending this passion with architecture, Joe set his sights on a career as a sports designer and architect. And thanks to a formative project in his early career, arena design became his specialty.

Joe’s first project while starting as intern more than 12 years ago was a 7,000 seat arena in Allen, Texas. This experience propelled Joe into numerous leadership roles on different event center and arena projects and studies, including project designer, project architect, project manager, and senior project manager. Joe has worked with a variety of professional organizations, operations teams, and municipalities. And in most cases, working with all consecutively, with the ultimate goal of meeting all project goals established early in the planning process. His understanding of the design process makes him a valuable asset to the project team.

When not in the office, Joe enjoys cycling, camping, winter sports, home repair, and being in the outdoors.
