Mark Jolicoeur

AIA, LEED AP
Principal, Chicago

As a young boy Mark would intently watch the hustle and bustle of construction sites near his home in the Chicago suburbs, collecting bits of site debris to later turn into his own creations. Mark realized early on that he is a doer: solving client problems has kept him passionate about the industry for over thirty years.

Mark works with a variety of public and private institutional clients, with deep experience on projects ranging from single additions to complex multi-school construction efforts.

Mark’s work philosophy is all about relationships. “When there’s a tough issue, you want Mark Jolicoeur on your side,” says his wife. He enjoys building trust as a friend and advisor to his colleagues and clients, and strives to advocate for their needs.

When asked what’s most fun about architecture, Mark says “It’s a puzzle. We’re taking a variety of components and then creating a final picture. Except you’re not just putting them together, you’re creating the pieces first, and then putting them together.”
