Perkins+Will has worked in Africa for 20 years. Our first project was Universidade Agostinho Neto in Luanda, Angola – the ambitious new central academic core for the national university comprising four classroom buildings for faculties of chemistry, mathematics, physics, and computer sciences. Our experience also includes work in Algeria, Burundi, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania, Tunisia, and Uganda. Our latest completed project is the Ghana Ridge Hospital, a new modern hospital that reflects the aspirations of the fast developing African Country. We have developed a sensitivity to the unique cultural and design challenges of the continent. As the countries of the region continue to develop, we are eager to help clients create innovative and sustainable solutions that address their unique needs.
