Landscape Architect Anthony Fox Joins our Boston Studio

Anthony Fox’s role as senior landscape architect will enrich the interdisciplinary Urban Design and Campus Planning Practice.

Anthony Fox, a leading Landscape Architect, has joined our Boston studio. Fox’s arrival establishes Boston’s local Landscape Architecture discipline which will support the growing Urban Design and Campus Planning Practice. Fox brings a depth of experience in conceptualizing, designing, and implementing holistic public environments. His design approach seeks to amplify the presence of the public realm, craft harmonious inside-outside experiences, and redefine traditional landscape architecture.

“Anthony’s integrative philosophy and advocacy for the power of landscape design make him an invaluable addition to our practice and future projects,” says Yanel de Angel, Managing Director of our Boston studio. “His expertise will undoubtedly advance our collective mission of fostering environmental stewardship and social equity through thoughtful placemaking.”

Landscape-Forward Transformative Outcomes

Fox’s role as a senior landscape architect reinforces the local delivery of landscape architecture services and boosts the firm’s urban design and campus planning expertise nationally. His skills will enhance project work ranging from small courtyards to significant outdoor landscapes while also supporting master planning district efforts.

For Fox, the context of the land is critical—he sees landscapes for what they are, and what they could be, approaching landscape design through the lens of land use patterns, ecology, and culture, to create sustainable, resilient, and impactful results. “When a project starts with these foundational elements, the outcomes are more responsive and become transformative,” Fox explains.

Diversity of Practice

The Urban Design and Campus Planning practice represents a convergence of diverse disciplines, including landscape architecture, master planning, digital advisory services, and branded environments. This interdisciplinary structure helps the practice address complex issues like climate change, social equity, accessibility, and cultural impact across a variety of project types.

Thinking about the natural environment for all life, not just human experience, is a core principle of the Urban Design and Campus Planning practice. This ethos strongly aligns with our vision to create places where humanity thrives in harmony with nature. Ascending beyond responsible environmental stewardship, the practice is committed to celebrating nature in everyday life, whether through streetscapes, pocket parks, or reimagining urban corridors.

“Our practice touches and shares insights across various environments, from urban developments to campus spaces. This diversity helps us uncover ways to address pressing cultural, environmental, and societal challenges. Our integrated approach leads to very surprising, but also intentional project outcomes that are much more grounded with needed solutions.”
