Anne Smith

Anne grew up at the edge of a large metropolis where the concrete stopped and the woods began.  Her passion for design was formed as much from exploring art museums, admiring architecture, and experiencing the vitality of the city as it was roaming fields of wildflowers, wandering pine forests, and wading through babbling brooks.

Inspired by the ecosystems of these urban and rural contexts, Anne studies how people interact with the built environment, elements of successful placemaking, the impact of an individual on a community, and integration of biophilia and sustainable practices into her work.

Anne is a champion of culture and design in the studio, cross pollinating ideas across all disciplines, nurturing talent, and empowering teams to co-create transformational work environments with clients and industry partners that are inclusive, socially cohesive, and promote health and well-being.
