Jeff Doble
Jeff has loved architecture as long as he can remember. The son of a custom home contractor in suburban Toronto, Jeff took every opportunity to work with his father on project sites. His interest in architecture eventually evolved to include more than just buildings, fascinated by broader conversations around city building and public infrastructure that are inherent in larger-scale transportation projects.
Today, Jeff’s role as Practice Chair for our global Transportation Practice may seem like a far cry from his beginnings in custom residential work – but the instincts that Jeff developed for practical, elegant design and attention to the deeper details are present in his work. Working on transit projects around the world, Jeff has come to understand that, although there are some universally applicable guiding principles, projects must address the unique aspects of a place in order to be successful.
