Welcome to our Houston studio
H-Town is full of character, diversity, and world-class culture. Our studio is a reflection of that—from our areas of expertise to the clients we serve. Drawn to complexity, we’re known for solving some of our region’s most demanding design challenges. Whether it’s renovating our oldest public park, transforming the Medical Center, pioneering new workplace standards, or hurricane-proofing a biocontainment lab on the Gulf Coast, we seek to redefine “space” in Space City.

You’ll find us downtown in a historic Art Deco building. A strategic foray into a new way of working, we designed our studio around an adaptable work model that embraces “perspectives,” both physical and conceptual.
Our design of the newly opened Duan Family Building at Mayo Clinic Florida’s campus is helping to spearhead carbon ion therapy in the Americas.
Locally, MD Anderson Cancer Center’s Clinical Services Building—the institution’s largest construction project to date—is positioned to transform the Texas Medical Center.
The University of Houston RAD Center and LSU Health Shreveport Center for Medical Education Emerging Viral Threats Lab have picked up multiple awards, including the 2026 AIA Design Excellence Award for Education Facilities and 2026 Lab Design Excellence Award for Small Project Design, respectively.
As creative thinkers and problem solvers, we leverage award-winning design to solve our client’s challenges across the Healthcare, Science and Technology, Workplace, and Corporate and Commercial sectors.
“I truly believe that the work that we did with Perkins&Will and our ability to do outcomes research following that work can help to drive change in how hospital buildings are designed and how patients are treated…”
― Stephen Glazier, COO, UTHealth Harris County Psychiatric Center
We’re proud of maintaining decades-long relationships with some of our region’s most cherished and impactful institutions.
Our history with the Texas Children’s Hospital Neurological Research Institute goes back 20 years, from the design of the iconic twisting tower to more recent build-outs for cutting edge labs that combine genetic counseling with computational AI.
We launched our Neurodiversity Toolkit with the D.C. headquarters of this Global Energy Company—analyzing physical, social, and cognitive elements to ensure the design invites the broadest possible range of users.
Houston is known for space and medical innovation—but did you know about the city’s longstanding connection to modern art, or that it’s home to the largest theater district in the U.S. outside of New York?
Like Houston we, too, have an underground connection to the arts. Our studio counts performing artists, opera singers, and art collectives among our Perkins&Will family. We’ve even strutted our stuff down the catwalk at IIDA’s Product Runway in an award-winning Japanese Edo-era ensemble made of recycled building materials.
