David is a national expert in student life and the firmwide leader in the design of residential life for higher education institutions. His expertise in student and residential life has enabled the firm to tackle key issues related to strategic planning, living and learning communities, diversity and inclusion, intentionality vs flexibility, revenue-generating spaces, sustainable strategies, branding and messaging, and quantitative programming. David’s thought leadership and points of view have been published by multiple sources. He has presented on numerous campuses, and at conferences for ACUHO-I and ACUI where he has been an active member for the past 15 years in the national and regional chapters. He has also presented at SCUP, NACAS, AASHE, ERAPPA, and the No Name Conference.

The depth and breadth of his work is significant. David and his team have led the programming, planning, and design of 2.4M sf in student centers and over 30,000 beds in residential life. These projects have been delivered through multiple types of project delivery including design/bid/build, construction management, developer-led, and public private partnerships.
